Roles & trust
Buyer, seller & broker
Who does what in a domain transaction.
- Buyer — funds the deal, confirms the domain is in their control, and releases the money when satisfied.
- Seller — transfers the domain and receives the funds once the buyer accepts.
- Broker (optional) — an intermediary who introduced the deal and is paid a commission out of the proceeds. A broker does not hold up the buyer/seller agreement.
